Curriculum

The CDC offers weekly music classes for K2-K4.The Child Development Center believes that each child is unique and created in the image of God. We provide more than just childcare but also developmentally appropriate programs that focus on the learning process. We encourage not just learning but also the love of learning. Our K2-K4 students have weekly music and P.E. classes. We also offer technology labs during the school year to our K3 and K4 students through the Whiz Kids program. Our K4 students participate in this program, and our K3 students can join at an additional cost.

Our Baby Department caregivers work with our infants to develop their gross motor skills. They also seek to stimulate them with visual aids, movement, and music activities.

Our K2 students begin developing social skills as they learn to share and interact with others in their age group. Completing the toilet training process is also an important milestone, and we focus on positive reinforcement and consistency during this training period. Our K2 students will also begin using a combination of curriculum materials, including the K2 Abeka curriculum, that will introduce them to sizes, colors, shapes, small motor skills and language development, and other age-appropriate concepts.

Students in our K3 and K4 classes also use the Abeka curriculum, which focuses on numbers and counting, Bible, unit-related studies, and supplementary materials. For K4 students, the curriculum also teaches reading and writing skills.
